Jehozadak

High Priest (in exile) • Babylonian Exile

Jehozadak was a priest from the line of Zadok and the father of Jeshua (Joshua) the high priest who returned with Zerubbabel. He was taken into exile when the Babylonians destroyed Jerusalem and the temple. Although he did not return himself, his son Jeshua became high priest during the rebuilding of the Second Temple after the exile.
