Mother of Moses • Exodus
A Levite woman who became the mother of Moses, Aaron, and Miriam. During Pharaoh’s decree to kill Hebrew male infants, she hid Moses for three months and then placed him in a basket on the Nile, leading to his rescue by Pharaoh’s daughter. Her courage preserved the life of the future deliverer of Israel.
