Judas the Galilean

Leader of a Revolt • Early Church

Judas the Galilean was a rebel leader who arose during the days of the census and gathered followers after himself. He was killed and his followers were dispersed. Gamaliel referred to Judas while urging the Sanhedrin to be cautious in its treatment of the apostles.
