Brother of Martha and Mary • Life of Jesus
Lazarus lived in Bethany with his sisters Martha and Mary and was loved by Jesus. After Lazarus died, Jesus called him from the tomb, a climactic sign in John's Gospel that intensified opposition to Jesus.
