King of Moab • Divided Kingdom
Mesha was the king of Moab who rebelled against the Kingdom of Israel after the death of King Ahab. Israel, Judah, and Edom formed a coalition to suppress the rebellion, but Mesha ultimately offered his son as a sacrifice on the city wall, causing the coalition forces to withdraw.
