High Priest during David's Reign • United Kingdom
Abiathar was the son of Ahimelech the priest who escaped the massacre at Nob carried out by Saul. He fled to David and served as priest during David's rise to power. Later, during the succession crisis, Abiathar supported Adonijah and was removed from the priesthood by Solomon.
