Christian Prophet • Early Church
Agabus was a Christian prophet associated with the early Church. At Antioch he foretold a severe famine that would affect the Roman world, prompting the disciples to send relief to believers in Judea. Years later at Caesarea, Agabus dramatically bound his own hands and feet with Paul's belt and warned that Paul would be bound in Jerusalem and delivered to the Gentiles.
