Alexander

Jewish Spokesman at Ephesus • Early Church

Alexander was a Jewish man put forward by members of the crowd during the riot in Ephesus. He attempted to make a defense before the assembly, but when the crowd recognized that he was Jewish, they shouted in praise of Artemis for about two hours and prevented him from speaking.
