Servant Girl in Jerusalem • Early Church
Rhoda was a servant girl at the house of Mary, the mother of John Mark, where believers were gathered in prayer while Peter was imprisoned. When the miraculously freed Peter knocked at the gate, Rhoda recognized his voice and, in her excitement, ran inside to announce his arrival without first opening the gate.
