Prophet of Judah • Divided Kingdom
Shemaiah was a prophet during the early divided kingdom who delivered God's message to Rehoboam. He warned the king not to fight against the northern tribes after the kingdom split, declaring that the division was from the Lord. His obedience to God's message helped prevent civil war between Israel and Judah.
