Andrew was the brother of Simon Peter and one of Jesus' twelve apostles. John describes him first as a disciple of John the Baptist who followed Jesus and brought Peter to Him. The Synoptic Gospels record Jesus calling the brothers from their fishing work. Andrew later appears bringing a boy with loaves and fish to Jesus and helping introduce Greek visitors who wished to see Him.
