Apollos was a Jewish man from Alexandria who was eloquent, knowledgeable in the Scriptures, and fervent in spirit. Although he initially knew only the baptism of John, Priscilla and Aquila explained the way of God to him more accurately. He later traveled to Achaia, where he powerfully refuted opponents and demonstrated from the Scriptures that Jesus was the Christ.
