Tentmaker and Christian Missionary • Early Church
Aquila was a Jewish believer from Pontus and the husband of Priscilla. After Emperor Claudius ordered Jews to leave Rome, Aquila and Priscilla settled in Corinth, where they met Paul and worked with him because they shared the trade of tentmaking. The couple later traveled to Ephesus and helped instruct Apollos more accurately in the way of God.
