Timothy

Missionary Companion of Paul • Early Church

Timothy was a young disciple from Lystra whose mother was Jewish and whose father was Greek. He was well spoken of by the believers in Lystra and Iconium. Paul chose Timothy to accompany him, and Timothy became an important missionary coworker during Paul's travels through Macedonia, Greece, and Asia Minor.
